Ziel des 8. Dahlberg-Kolloquiums "Biofilme und funktionale Baustoffoberflächen" ist eine wirksame Bekämpfung von Fassadenbesiedlungen durch neue Produktansätze. Rund 20 Referenten aus dem In- und Ausland stellen ausgewählte Messverfahren vor, mit deren Hilfe Besiedlungsvorgänge bewertet werden können. Neu werden die PAM-Fluorometrie, die Rasterelektronenmikroskopie und neue mikrobiologische Untersuchungsverfahren vorgestellt. Weil in Ermangelung wirksamer besiedlungswidriger Produkteigenschaften immer mehr biozide Wirkstoffe zum Einsatz kommen, berichten einige Autoren über deren Unverträglichkeit mit der Natur. Außerdem werden neue Produktansätze aus Nanobeschichtungen präsentiert.
