Auflage des VDA-Band 1 „Dokumentierte Information und Aufbewahrung“, die erste Ausgabe der IATF 16949:2016-10 und die 1. Auflage des „AIAG & VDA FMEA-Handbuchs“ notwendig wurde. Zusätzlich wurden die Verweise auf Normen und VDA-Bände aktualisiert.
Die Bezeichnungen „Wichtige Merkmale“ oder „Kritische Merkmale“ wurden durch den Begriff „Besondere Merkmale“ ersetzt.
