Standard Specification for Seamless and Electric-Welded Low-Alloy Steel Tubes
STANDARD published on 1.11.2019
Why Redline?
A PDF redline is a quick and easy way to compare all of the changes between the current, active standard and the previous version.
With a redline you'll immediately see:
Save Time and Trouble!
With a Redline you no longer have to spend time trying to determine what has changed in the new standard! Redlines save you time and ensure you see what the changes are to the standard.
Price
When you select the "Active + Redline" option you get both documents! Best of all, the cost of an Active + Redline is only slightly more than buying the Active Standard by itself.

This specification covers standards for minimum-wall-thickness, seamless, and electric-resistance welded low-alloy steel tubes to be used for pressure containing parts, that is economizers, and for other corrosion resistant applications. Steel tubes shall either be processed to hot or cold finish. All tubes shall be normalized or given such heat treatment as may be necessary to conform to the requirements of this specification. Chemical composition shall adhere to specified carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, silicon, copper, chromium, nickel, and molybdenum contents. Tension, flattening, flaring, flange, hardness, reverse flattening, and hydrostatic tests shall be performed. Tubes when inserted in the boiler shall stand expanding and bending without showing cracks or flaws. Tubes shall also conform to tensile strength, yield strength, hardness, and elongation requirements.
