1.1 This test method covers the determination of indentation hardness of aluminum alloys using a Barcol Impressor, Model No. 934-1. 1.2 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as standard. No other units of measurement are included in this standard. 1.2.1 Exception—The values given in parentheses are for information only. Note 1—Another model, No. 935, is for use on plastics but is not included in this test method and should not be used for aluminum alloys. 1.3 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use.
