1.1 This specification establishes the requirements for brass and copper pipe nipples in standard pipe sizes from 1/8 to 8 in., inclusive, in standard lengths, and chromium-plated pipe nipples in standard pipe sizes from 1/8 to 2 in., inclusive, in standard lengths. 1.1.1 Chromium-plated pipe nipples ordered under this specification are intended for interior use in decorative applications. 1.2 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as standard.
