1. Scope | ||||||||||||
1.1 This test method covers the preparation of specimens and the determination of the compressive strength of lightweight insulating concrete having an oven-dry density not exceeding 50 lb/ft3 (800 kg/m3) as determined by the procedures described herein. This test method covers the preparation and testing of molded 3 by 6-in. (75 by 150-mm) cylinders. 1.2 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as the standard. This standard does not purport to address all of the safety problems, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use. |
