1. Scope | ||||||||||
1.1 This practice provides detailed information on the handling and proper use of chemical-resistant resin grouts for filling joints of chemical-resistant brick or tile such as those covered in Specification C658. Note 1-Resin tile grouts are applied to joints, generally 1/4 in. (6 mm) wide, after the brick or tile is set in place (grouting or tile-setters method). Resin mortars are troweled on the sides and bottom of bricks, generally in a 1/8-in. (3 mm) thickness, before the bricks are laid in place (buttering or bricklayers method). (See Practice C399.)1.2 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as the standard.
