1. Scope |
1.1 This practice covers the testing of clear floor sealers, intended for use on interior wood floors. It covers the appearance of the sealed wood and of treated worn spots, the resistance of the sealed wood to ink stains, and the appearance of the complete system after the sealer has been coated with varnish, and with solvent- and waterbone waxes. Note 1-The resistance of the sealer to other reagents may be determined by this procedure when agreed upon by the purchaser and the seller. 1.2 The values stated in inch-pound units are standard. The values given in parentheses are for information only. 1.3 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use.
