1.1 These test methods cover the evaluation of adhesives for finger jointing lumber used in the manufacture of structural glued laminated timber. They include tests of the tensile strength of joints; dry with no treatment, wet after one vacuum-pressure soak treatment, and wet after cyclic boil-dry treatment. 1.2 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as the standard. 1.3 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use.
