1.1 This specification covers requirements for fuel grade ethyl tertiary-butyl ether (ETBE) that may be used for blending with fuels for aviation spark-ignition engines where permissible. Other ETBE grades available in the marketplace that do not comply with the requirements of this specification, are not suitable for blending with aviation fuels. 1.2 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as standard. No other units of measurement are included in this standard. 1.3 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use.
