1. Scope |
1.1 This practice describes a procedure for determining the effects of test substances in the daily diet upon reproduction in birds. Other chronic effects may be observed. 1.2 The procedure is applicable to all substances that can be mixed uniformly into the diet. 1.3 This procedure presents various options for conducting a reproductive study. The experimental design to be selected will depend upon the purpose(s) for which the study is being conducted. 1.4 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety problems associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.
