1.1 This specification covers paintball markers, which propel a paintball by means of energy released by compressed air, compressed gas, or other means. 1.2 Limitations—This specification does not cover non-recreational paintball markers, for example, those used by law enforcement, scientific, military or theatrical entities. 1.3 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as the standard; the inch-pound units in parentheses are provided for information only. 1.4 The following precautionary caveat pertains only to the test method portion, Section 8, of this specification.
