Only those terms commonly used or peculiar to this field have been included; no attempt has been made to list all terms used. Where a second term is in common use, “aka” is used to mean “also known as.” 1.2 Design, engineering, and performance terms are listed separately: design terminology (3.1), engineering terminology (3.2), and performance terminology (3.3). 1.3 Guidance on minimum dimensions and performance specifications for booms is provided in Guide F1523. 1.4 This international standard was developed in accordance with internationally recognized principles on standardization established in the Decision on Principles for the Development of International Standards, Guides and Recommendations issued by the World Trade Organization Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Committee. |
