Touto normou se zavádí ST SEV 4768-84 jako ČSN, jíž se pro potřeby tehdejší ČSSR (ČSFR), resp. ČR norma RVHP nedoplňovala. Norma RVHP stanoví druhy konstrukčních dokumentů na výrobky všech průmyslových odvětví. Jde v podstatě o názvoslovnou normu, v níž je definováno 16 konstrukčních dokumentů. ČSN 01 3102 byla schválena 28.3.1985 a nabyla účinnosti od 1.1.1987. Nahradila ČSN 01 3001 z 4.1.1962
