Norma je překladem ST SEV 5836-86. Závitovkové převodovky s válcovou závitnicí pro všeobecné použití. Řady základních parametrů, jako čs. státní norma, jíž se pro potřeby tehdejší ČSSR (ČSFR), resp. ČR norma RVHP nedoplňovala. Norma RVHP platí pro nově navrhované jedno- a dvoustupňové závitovkové převodovky s válcovou závitnicí pro všeobecného použití a stanovuje řady základních parametrů. ČSN 03 1016 byla schválena 10.8.1987 a nabyla účinnosti od 1.1.1989
