Norma platí pro nádrže konstruované po dni účinnosti této normy; není závazná pro nádrže vyráběné kusově, nebo které jsou nedílnou částí stroje či zařízení. Neplatí pro nádrže, pro které platí zvláštní předpisy a ČSN 69 0010. ČSN 11 9055 byla schválena 31.8.1972 a nabyla účinnosti od 1.7.1973.

"Změnou b)-2/1987" se s účinností od 1.1.1988 nahrazuje část II novou ČSN 11 9725 z 16.9.1986
