Norma platí pro stanovení nejvyšších pracovních přetlaků, přiřazených k vybraným jmenovitým tlakům PN z ČSN 13 0009 v závislosti na pracovní teplotě a jakosti materiálu pro součásti potrubí a armatury namáhané vnitřním přetlakem. Stanoví rovněž zkušební přetlaky součástí potrubí a armatur pro zkoušku pevnosti a nepropustnosti. Poměrně rozsáhlá technická norma stanovuje technické požadavky a dále - většinou tabelárně - pracovní přetlaky pro součásti z různých materiálů. ČSN 13 0010 byla schválena 28.7.1989 a nabyla účinnosti od 1.7.1990. Nahradila ČSN 13 0010 z r.1983
