Norma stanoví české a slovenské názvy používané v oboru tvářecích strojů na kovy. Musí se používat spolu s ČSN 22 6001. Neplatí pro názvy tvářecích strojů používaných ve válcovnách a v oboru plastikářském a gumárenském. Norma je rozdělena do deseti částí: základní pojmy, lisy, buchary, tvářecí automaty nůžky, ohýbačky, zakružovačky, rovnačky, válcovačky a tvářecí komplexy. Česky a slovensky je uvedeno názvosloví. Česky je definováno cca 161 hesel. Pro informaci jsou uvedeny ekvivalentní názvy v angličtině, francouzštině, němčině a ruštině. ČSN 21 0200 byla schválena 10.5.1991 a nabyla účinnosti od 1.6.1992. Nahradila ČSN 21 0200 z 11.8.1971
