Tato norma byla vypracována pro usnadnění činnosti projektantů staveb, stanovuje nejvyšší povolené hodnoty emise hluku dodávaných výtahů a jejich částí a uvádí stavební řešení zaměřená proti šíření emise hluku výtahů instalovaných v nových stavbách pro bydlení, občanského vybavení a administrativních budovách nebo nově budovaných šachtách výtahů v existujících budovách, jejichž správná aplikace má zajistit dodržení stanovených hodnot hluku v akusticky chráněných místnostech. V části A. 2 je zapracován požadavek na zatížení klece výtahu při měření podle připravované prEN ISO 16032.
