Tato norma doplňuje a rozpracovává na národní úrovni zásady pro trakční vedení železničních drah celostátních, regionálních a vleček pro projektování, stavbu, zkoušení, provoz, údržbu a rekonstrukci trakčních vedení drah uvedené v ČSN EN 50119 a ČSN IEC 913 a dále doplňuje ČSN 34 1500.
