Touto normou se zavádí ST SEV 1538-79 jako ČSN, jíž se pro potřeby tehdejší ČSSR (ČSFR), resp. ČR norma RVHP nedoplňovala. Norma RVHP se vztahuje na bronzy. Podstatou fotometrické metody RVHP je rozpuštění vzorku v roztoku kyseliny dusičné, s následným stanovením komplexní sloučeniny titanu s diantipyrilmethanem za přítomnosti kyseliny askorbové k maskování trojmocného železa. Intenzita zbarvení roztoku se měří při vlnové délce 389 nm. Postup při provádění normalizované zkoušky je podrobně popsán. ČSN 42 0622 Část 13 byla schválena 8.9.1981 a nabyla účinnosti od 1.1.1983
