Norma platí pro chemický rozbor cínowolframových rud a koncentrátů a určuje stanovení stříbra metodou atomové absorpční spektrometrie. Při provádění rozboru musí být dodržena všechna ustanovení podle ČSN 44 1701. Podstata metody: Po rozkladu vzorku kyselinami se změří atomová absorpce stříbra při vlnové délce 328,1 nm v plameni vzduch - acetylen. Postup při provádění normalizované zkoušky je podrobně popsán. ČSN 44 1522 byla schválena 20.7.1990 a nabyla účinnosti od 1.7.1991. Spolu s ČSN 44 1501 až ČSN 44 1521 a ČSN 44 1523 nahradila v celém rozsahu ČSN 44 1639 z 8.7.1970
