Norma platí pro chemický rozbor olovnato-zinkových rud a určuje stanovení germania metodou fotometrickou. Při provádění rozboru musí být dodržena všechna ustanovení podle ČSN 44 1701. Podstata metody: Po kyselinovém rozkladu vzorku se germanium oddělí destilací v azeotropické směsi kyseliny chlorovodíkové a stanoví se fotometricky s fenylfluoronem. Postup při provádění normalizované zkoušky je podrobně popsán. ČSN 44 1632 byla schválena 18.5.1989 a nabyla účinnosti od 1.6.1990. Nahradila část 13 ČSN 44 1654 z 29.11.1973 a spolu s ČSN 44 1701, ČSN 44 1621 až ČSN 44 1631 ji nahradila v celém rozsahu
