Touto normou se zavádí ST SEV 5500-86 jako ČSN, jíž se pro potřeby tehdejší ČSSR (ČSFR), resp. ČR norma RVHP nedoplňovala. Norma RVHP platí pro manganové rudy, koncentráty a aglomeráty a určuje stanovení obsahu oxidu hlinitého metodou - vážkovou při obsahu oxidu barnatého od 0,5 do 20,0 %, - atomové absorpční spektrometrie při obsahu oxidu barnatého od 0,05 do 3,0 %. Principy obou metody a postupy při provádění normalizovaných zkoušek jsou podrobně popsány. ČSN 44 1852 byla schválena 11.5.1987 a nabyla účinnosti od 1.7.1988. Nahradila ČSN 44 1575 část 20 z r.1972
