Tato norma je překladem ST SEV 6155-88. Určuje stanovení ztráty hmotnosti při žíhání metodou vážkovou. Při provádění rozboru musí být dodržena všechna ustanovení podle ČSN 44 1801. Podstata metody: Metoda je založena na žíhání vzorku při teplotě 950 °C - 1000 °C v oxidační atmosféře do konstantní hmotnosti. Postup při provádění normalizované zkoušky je podrobně popsán. ČSN 44 1855 byla schválena 31.5.1989 a nabyla účinnosti od 1.7.1990
