Touto normou se zavádí ST SEV 4233-83 - Výrobky z ovoce a zeleniny. Konzervy masové a masozeleninové. Metoda přípravy vzorků k laboratorním zkouškám, jako ČSN, jíž se pro potřeby ČSSR (ČSFR) popř. ČR norma RVHP nedoplňovala. Norma tedy určuje metodu přípravy vzorků pro chemické a fyzikálně - chemické zkoušky. Norma tedy stanovuje postupy přípravy vzorků pro provádění některých zkoušek (metod) zjišťování a/nebo ověřování znaků jakosti, důležitých z hlediska hygieny výživy. ČSN 56 0243 byla schválena 19.6.1984 a nabyla účinnosti od 1.7.1985. Nahradila čl. 3 ČSN 57 0185 z 28.3.1962
