Tato norma specifikuje fotometrické stanovení rozpuštěného reaktivního křemíku molybdenanem amonným. Zkouška je použitelná při rozboru povrchové, podzemní a pitné vody a vody pro energetické účely. Bez objemové úpravy vzorku (50 ml) lze stanovit reaktivní křemík (Si) v koncentračním rozsahu asi od 0,25 mg/l do 15 mg/l, v závislosti na optické délce použité kyvety. Při přepočtu na SiO2 vychází rozsah asi od 0,5 mg/l do 30 mg/l
