Norma platí pro ochranné balení technických výrobků zhotovených zcela nebo z části z kovu a stanoví obecné zásady pro výběr vhodných zkušebních metod k ověření bariérové účinnosti plošných obalových materiálů obsahujících vypařovací inhibitory koroze (dále jen materiály s VIK).
