Tato norma je českou verzí evropské normy EN 1001-2:2005. Evropská norma EN 1001-2:2005 má status české technické normy. Norma platí pro oblast ochrany dřeva a stanovuje odborné termíny a definice, které se týkají preventivní ochrany dřeva, druhů ochrany dřeva, technologie impregnace dřeva, ochranných prostředků, dřevokazných organismů a trvanlivosti dřeva.
