Tato česká technická norma zavádí evropskou normu EN 10061. Tato evropská norma stanoví jmenovité rozměry, mezní úchylky rozměrů a tolerance tvaru ocelových tyčí šestihranných válcovaných za tepla.

Do této normy byla doplněna národní příloha NA (informativní), která obsahuje normy ocelí a materiálové listy ocelí, podle kterých jsou tyto tyče vyráběny.
