Tato norma specifikuje spektrofotometrickou metodu pro stanovení železa ve slitinách zinku. Platí pro výrobky specifikované v ČSN EN 1774 a ČSN EN 12844. Norma charakterizuje princip metody a stanovuje požadavky na potřebné chemikálie a přístroje použité k rozboru. Dále předepisuje postup stanovení obsahu železa včetně výpočtu a vyjádření výsledků.
