Norma popisuje zrychlenou laboratorní metodu pro stanovení odolnosti proti pronikání oxidu uhličitého správkovými výrobky a systémy na cementové bázi. Metoda je založena na měření hloubky karbonatace zkušebního tělesa v atmosféře koncentrovaného oxidu uhličitého po stanoveném časovém intervalu. Hloubka karbonatace se určí pomocí indikátoru fenolftalein na čerstvém úlomku zkušebního tělesa.
