Norma stanovuje postup zjišťování pevnosti v tlaku mezerovitého betonu z pórovitého kameniva LAC podle EN 1520. Zkušební metoda používá zkušební tělesa (vývrty nebo krychle) odebrané z prefabrikovaných dílců (případně mohou být použita zkušební tělesa vyrobená samostatně ve formách). Pevnost v tlaku je definována jako poměr zatížení při porušení v osovém tlaku a příčné průřezové plochy zkušebního tělesa. Zatěžování probíhá konstantní rychlostí až do porušení spojitě a rovnoměrně bez nárazů tak, aby se největší zatížení dosáhlo za (30 až 120) s. Zaznamená se největší dosažené zatížení během zkoušky.
