Tato norma určuje referenční zkušební metodu pro stanovení odolnosti pórovitého kameniva (LWA) podle EN 13055 proti zmrazování a rozmrazování, používanou při zkouškách typu a v případě pochybnosti. V jiných případech, konkrétně při kontrole řízení výroby, se smí použít jiné metody s podmínkou, že jsou vhodné a podobné stanovené referenční metodě. Zkouška je použitelná pro zrna pórovitého kameniva o velikosti ne menší než 4 mm až do maximální velikosti 32 mm
