Tato evropská norma specifikuje metodu vysokoúčinné kapalinové chromatografie (HPLC) pro stanovení obsahu semduramicinu na povolené úrovni v krmivech [2] pomocí detekce hmotnostní spektrometrií nebo post-kolonovou derivatizací a (UV)-VIS detekcí (dále jen UV detekcí). Tato metoda je použitelná pro krmiva pro drůbež. Mez stanovitelnosti při použití hmotnostního spektrometru pro detekci je 1,0 mg/kg a 3,0 mg/kg, když se provádí UV detekce s postkolonovou derivatizací. Je možno dosáhnout nižších mezí stanovitelnosti, ale to musí být validováno uživatelem.
Metoda umožňuje rozlišení semduramicinu od monensinu, salinomycinu, narasinu, maduramicinu a lasalocidu
