Norma je identická s EN 226:1987. Tato evropská norma platí pro rozprašovací hořáky na topné oleje s jmenovitým tepelným výkonem do 150 kW, které jsou rozděleny do dvou skupin: Jednak hořáky s jmenovitým tepelným výkonem QF < 72 kW, jednak hořáky s jmenovitým tepelným výkonem QF v rozmezí 72 kW <= QF <= 150 kW. Stručná norma stanovuje pouze rozměry. ČSN EN 226 (07 5855) byla vydána v lednu 1993
