Norma je identická s EN 323:1993. Uvádí metodu na zjišťování hustoty zkušebních těles z dřevěných materiálů. Výsledek může být použit na vyhodnocení hustoty desek z dřevěných materiálů podle EN 326-1 (do 1.3.1994 v ČR nezavedená). Podstata metody: Zjištění hustoty jako poměru hmotnosti zkušebního materiálu k jeho objemu, přičemž obě měření se provedou při stejné vlhkosti. Tyto výsledky se použijí na stanovení hustoty celé desky. ČSN EN 323 (49 01142) byla vydána v dubnu 1994
