Tato evropská norma se vztahuje k piezoelektrické měničové keramice pro výkonové aplikace v širokém kmitočtovém rozsahu, a to jak pro elektromechanické tak pro mechanoelektrické měniče. Tato norma platí pouze pro piezoeletrické keramické materiály při silném signálu a ne pro charakterizaci kompletního složeného měniče. Výběr materiálu pro dané výkonové použití je obtížný a doporučení dané v kapitole 2 je především oznamovací.
