Tato evropská norma stanovuje bezpečnostní požadavky a jejich ověření pro návrh a konstrukci drtičů/štěpkovačů s ručním plněním, s vestavěným elektrickým motorem, který nepřekračuje 250 V jednofázových, s podtlakově podporovaným sběrem nebo bez něho, které jsou navrženy k dělení organických materiálů na menší kusy a používají se ve stacionární poloze, přičemž obsluha stojí na zemi. Tato norma platí pro drtiče/štěpkovače s plnicími vstupními otvory nebo segmenty, v této normě uváděno jen jako plnicí bezpečnostní otvory, které v součtu odpovídají čtverci 250 mm × 250 mm
