Tato norma stanovuje požadavky na lakovaný měděný vodič pro vinutí kruhového průřezu, třída 180, s dvojitou lakovou vrstvou. Spodní vrstva je z polyesterimidové pryskyřice, kterou lze modifikovat za předpokladu, že bude chemicky totožná s původní pryskyřicí a splní všechny předepsané požadavky na vodič. Vrchní vrstva je lepicí vrstva z termoplastické pryskyřice. Rozsah jmenovitých průměrů jader, na které se tato norma vztahuje, je tento: stupeň 1B: 0,020 mm až 1,600 mm včetně; stupeň 2B: 0,020 mm až 1,600 mm včetně.
