Tato norma stanovuje definice a požadavky pro přísady používané do betonu. Norma se vztahuje na přísady do prostého, vyztuženého a předpjatého betonu, které se používají do betonu vyráběného na staveništi, transportbetonu a betonu pro výrobu prefabrikátů. Požadavky na vlastnosti obsažené v této normě se týkají přísad používaných do betonu normální konzistence. Nelze je aplikovat na přísady určené pro jiné druhy betonu jako např. polosuché směsi a zavlhlé směsi
