Norma se používá pro stanovení stálobarevnosti textilií potisknutých nebo vybarvených pigmenty při kartáčování za mokra. Zkušební vzorek se ponoří do roztoku mýdla nebo detergentu, kartáčuje se po stanovenou dobu, vymáchá a usuší. U roztoku mýdla nebo detergentu je možné volit z pěti teplot. Změna odstínu zkušebního vzorku se ohodnotí podle šedé stupnice
