Tato norma je českou verzí evropské normy EN ISO 13783:1997. Evropská norma EN ISO 13783:1997 má status české technické normy. Tato norma specifikuje metodu zkoušení těsnosti a pevnosti dvouhrdlových osově namáhaných spojů z neměkčeného polyvinylchloridu (PVC-U) při ohybu sestavy, kdy povolený maximální úhel ohybu je 3°. Používá se pro dvouhrdlové spojky opatřené těsnicími elastomerními kroužky a uzavíracími kroužky, které jsou určené pro tlakové trubky z PVC-U.
