Tato norma stanoví rozměry vzorku a postup pro mechanizované odlupovací zkoušení jednotlivých odporových bodových, švových a výstupkových svarů u přeplátovaných plechů z jakýchkoliv kovových materiálů tloušťky od 0,5 mm do 3 mm, kde svary mají maximální průměr 7 t (kde t je tloušťka plechu v mm). Pokud se používají doporučené rozměry zkušebního vzorku, pak u svarů o průměru 5 t a 7 t je možné odhadnout sílu pro odloupnutí příliš nízkou. Účelem mechanizovaného odlupovacího zkoušení je stanovení síly pro odloupnutí, kterou může zkušební vzorek vydržet
