Tato norma specifikuje požadavky a odpovídající zkušební metody pro pigmenty z oxidu titaničitého pro nátěrové hmoty. Uvádí postup stanovení oxidu titaničitého redukcí hliníkem (metoda A) nebo za použití směsi redukčních činidel - chloridu chromnatého a amalgamu zinku (metoda B). K hodnocení dalších vlastností (obsah těkavých podílů, pH vodné suspenze, spotřebu oleje, rezistivitu vodného extraktu, barevný odstín, schopnost rozptýlení, obsah látek rozpustných ve vodě, zbytek na sítě) využívá mezinárodních standardů ISO řady 787.
