Tato norma určuje metody stanovení orthofosforečnanů, orthofosforečnanů po extrakci rozpouštědlem, hydrolyzovatelných fosforečnanů a orthofosforečnanů, celkového fosforu po rozkladu. Metody se používají k rozboru všech druhů vod včetně mořské i vyčištěných odpadních vod. Bez ředění lze ve vzorcích stanovit koncentrace fosforu v rozsahu 0,005 mg/l až 0,8 mg/l.
