Tato norma je českou verzí evropské normy EN ISO 8989:1998. Evropská norma EN ISO 8989:1998 má status české technické normy. Oznámení o schválení: Text mezinárodní normy ISO 8989:1995 byl schválen CEN jako evropská norma bez jakýchkoliv modifikací. Tato norma předepisuje metodu stanovení mísitelnosti kapalných fenolických pryskyřic s vodou. Mísitelnost s vodou je závislá na podmínkách a stupni kondenzace pryskyřice. Princip metody i postup při provádění normalizované zkoušky je podrobně popsán. ČSN EN ISO 8989 (64 1513) byla vydána v srpnu 1999. Nahradila ČSN ISO 8989 z července 1994 (64 1513)
