Tato norma platí pro uživatelská zařízení pro IMT-2000, CDMA TDD (UTRA TDD). Je určena k pokrytí ustanovení článku 3.2 Směrnice 1999/5/EC (Směrnice R&TTE). Navíc k této normě budou pro zařízení v rozsahu platnosti této normy platit i jiné EN, které specifikují technické požadavky v souvislosti se základními požadavky podle jiných částí článku 3 Směrnice R&TTE.
