V1.2.2 Norma je použitelná pro základní požadavky na antény (včetně zařízení s vestavěnými anténami) používané v pevných rádiových systémech mezi více body určených k použití v kmitočtových pásmech uvedených v EN 302 326-1. Tato norma spolu s EN 302 326-2 uvádí řadu alternativ typů systémů a antén v závislosti na požadovaném využití rádiového spektra a požadavcích sítí a trhu. U digitálních pevných rádiových systémů (DFRS) se antény pokládají za "důležité součásti" "rádiových zařízení" podle definice v článku 2(c) Směrnice R&TTE. Technické specifikace důležité pro Směrnici R&TTE jsou shrnuty v příloze A.
