Tato část ISO 16532 uvádí metodu stanovení odolnosti papíru a lepenky vůči tukům. Dává urychlené srovnání očekávaných relativních rychlostí, jimiž oleje nebo tuky, jako jsou tuky obvykle přítomné v potravinách, pronikají propustnými místy v papírech typu nepromastitelných papírů nebo pergaminu, v nichž odolnost vůči tuku nebo oleji je zajišťována pouze mechanickými prostředky. Metoda není použitelná pro ty druhy papíru nebo lepenky, jimž byla odolnost vůči tuku nebo oleji udělena nátěrem nebo vnitřní úpravou; pro ty případy se používá ISO 16532-1 nebo ISO 16532-2
